Creativity and precision intersect to create stunning stepping stones for your garden or walkway, in this full-day workshop! Whether you’d like to create a few stepping stones or a whole mosaic paver stone patio, this class will teach you how to quickly create a stepping stone using pre-formed paver stones. We will delve into the art of mosaic making and learn tricks for cutting repetitive tile shapes to easily craft colorful, geometric patterns. About the Instructor:

Carrie Strope has been working in glass since 2005, combining techniques across COE. She facilitates large scale mosaics in schools and communities and will be focusing on teaching how to prepare small mosaics for incorporation into larger installations or public spaces. She has been crowned the Professional Glass Cutting Contest winner at the Glass Craft and Bead Expo and is ready to share her cutting skills with you, as well as tips for incorporating your torch worked and fused glass items into mosaics.

Visit Carrie’s website, calyxglass.com, to explore her portfolio of stunning glass artworks and gain further insight into her artistic journey and expertise.

Note: Please do not bring outside scrap glass to class, we only use COE 96 glass and can not guarantee the glass you purchased elsewhere is the right coefficient for our firing schedule. COE 90 or non-fusing glass will contaminate our work space and cause problems if it gets into our scrap glass that is for sale.
